Which material
do you process?
From chewing gum to cemented carbide: Linden develops mixing and kneading technology for sensitive, safety-critical and abrasive materials across a wide range of viscosities, reproducibly and safely.
What makes a material demanding.
The more demanding the property, the greater the advantage of well-engineered mixing and kneading technology.

Highly viscous
Tough, compact masses that overwhelm standard mixers.

Abrasive
Hard materials that wear down tools and trough.

Adhesive
Masses that stick and make clean discharge difficult.

Temperature-sensitive
Formulations that demand precise temperature control.

Safety-critical
Sensitive masses that require explosion protection and control.

Multi-component
Powders, fibres and liquids homogeneously combined.
GMP-, FDA-, EFSA- and ATEX-compliant processes.
Whether food, pharmaceuticals or energetic masses: Linden systems meet the standard applicable to each material, with low-dead-space, validatable design, hygienic design and explosion protection.

From difficult material to a reproducible batch.
Homogeneity
Uniform distribution up to the highest viscosities.
Vacuum degassing
Pore-free masses without air inclusions.
Temperature control
Targeted temperature control of mixing vessels and mixing tools.
Batch consistency
Formulation management including data recording.
Dead-space optimised
Defined clearances for almost complete emptying.
Wear protection
Long service life even with abrasive materials.

Material & task
You describe the material, formulation and process objective, and together with you we assess feasibility.
Trial in the Technical Center
Linden tests your mass under real conditions at laboratory or pilot scale.
Result & scale-up
You receive reliable parameters for a production plant designed for safe scale-up.
Frequently asked questions about materials.
Which materials do Linden kneaders process?
From elastomers, silicone and adhesives through ceramic feedstocks and dental or pharmaceutical masses to confectionery and energetic materials: wherever varying viscosities, homogeneity and reproducibility are required.
How does a material trial in the Technical Center work?
You describe the material and process objective, we assess feasibility together and mix your mass at laboratory or pilot scale. You receive reliable parameters for the design of your production plant.
Which sizes are available?
From laboratory scale starting at around 0.1 litres up to production plants with several thousand litres, depending on material and series.
Are the systems GMP- and ATEX-compliant?
Depending on requirements: dead-space-minimised, GMP- and FDA-compliant design for pharmaceuticals and food, ATEX version for materials with an explosion hazard.
What if my material is new or unusual?
That is exactly where we come in: Linden designs systems to customer specifications and validates the process in advance in the Technical Center.
